Jim Morrison Worn Leather Pants and Cotton Shirt, circa 1968-1969

Jim Morrison worn pants and shirt. The pants are black leather with a zip front and the shirt is made of white muslin, double breasted in front with a Nehru Collar.

This outfit is very similar in style to clothes Jim is seen wearing on stage in photos during 1968-1969; Jim did not appear to wear this type of clothes casually.  The shirt and pants were purchased from Kevin Thoman in 2008.  Kevin was given these clothes as a gift from his close friend Danny Sugarman, the professional epresentative of The Doors.  Kevin’s brother, Shawn, was also roommates with Danny Sugarman in the late 1970’s in Manhattan Beach and was engaged to Danny’s stepsister, Bonnie Bissell. Jim liked to discard clothes quickly, and so Danny received many of Jim’s slightly worn clothes during Jim’s life, and also received many of his clothes at Jim’s death.  Danny told Kevin that this outfit was worn by Jim Morrison. Documentation from Kevin Thoman is attached.

Jim Morrison is arguably the greatest lead singer in Rock and Roll History. Jim turned his poetry into song lyrics and through his “shamanic” performances allowed audiences to Break On Through to the Other Side of spirituality and mysticism.

Estimate: $10,000 - $20,000
