Lot 743 John F. Kennedy's Ray-Ban Sunglasses & Case

A pair of John F. Kennedy's prescription bifocal sunglasses with a gold rim and flesh colored plastic tips on the earpieces and nosepieces. Also included is the brown leather sunglasses case with snap closure and "Basch & Lomb Ray-Ban Sunglasses Signet made in U.S.A. Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." in gold letters and "genuine leather" printed on the front. The interior has a green felt and wooden divider. President Kennedy had several pairs of sunglasses which he used interchangeably and used whichever pair was available at the time. These sunglasses were in the possession of Evelyn Lincoln for him to use during their trip to Dallas on November 22, 1963. Good condition. Some scratches on the metal frame and plastic.
