Lot 700 John F. Kennedy's 10k Gold Christening Ring & Velvet Box

10 K gold baby christening ring, with initials JK engraved in script in the center belonging to John F. Kennedy. It is housed in a blue velvet box. Original maroon velvet box has a blue cross with a crown, a wreath and the words "Little's System," Cross" and "Crown" on the white silk interior of the upper lid. The box also contains a typed note describing the ring's history: "Gold baby ring of John Fitzgerald Kennedy second born to Rose and Joe at 2:59 pm. May 29, 1917. Attending physician Dr. Good. Baptized June 19, 1917 by Msgr. Creagh at St. Aidan's. Property of: Mary H. Moore 83 Beals St. Brookline, Massachusetts." The ring was a gift from Mary H. Moore, the Kennedy's neighbor and friend. It was presented for John F. Kennedy's baptism when he was 21 days old. His initials are inscribed on the outer surface. Good condition. Box has some minor stains on cream velvet lower interior. Ring is very slightly bent.
