A dark brown leather billfold wallet carried by John F. Kennedy until 1962 when he asked Evelyn Lincoln to transfer his personal items to a new billfold. The wallet has two divisions for bills and a small open pocket on the inside. An impression of a paper clip is at the top center margin of the front of the wallet. "J.F.K." is stamped in gold on the inside left of the wallet and the impression of the gold St. Christopher money clip that Jackie Kennedy gave him on their first wedding anniversary appears on both sides, forming a black ring on the right. The right side has a pocket with a plastic window that holds a yellow paper Massachusetts driver's license issued to "Kennedy John F" at 122 Bowdoin St. in Boston on 07/02/59. It lists his height as 6 feet, his hair color as brown, his eye color as gray, and his date of birth as 05/29/17. The license expired on 05/29/61, the fee was $5.00, and the license number is 053332D. Poor condition, fragile and worn with tears at the edges; the wallet appears to be something he carried constantly. Open wallet, 8 1/2 x 3 1/2. License, 3 1/4 x 2 1/2.
