Carousel Panel
American, canvas and wood, c. 1900. Scenery panels were used on carousels to add color and excitement to the overall attraction. They also were used to cover the joints where the larger "rounding boards" met. These three panels exhibit older, possibly original paint and are being carefully restored for their appearance in this auction. Photographs of the restored panels have not yet been provided us.
