Picasso Gemmaux Collection

A remarkable collection of twenty-four unique Pablo Picasso works of art created in the mid-1950’s in the intricate glass technique known as Gemmaux.

Picasso Le Gemmail

While researching Picasso’s work in a little recognized and intricate glass process known as Gemmaux, Guernsey’s efforts lead to the discovery of one such work in the Evansville Museum of Art in Indiana. Due to a recording error made by the Museum’s registrar when it was received in the mid-1960’s as a gift from Raymond Loewy, this Picasso lingered in the Museum’s storage vaults for fifty years, only to be unearthed as a result of Guernsey’s inquiry.
